About the Author
Barbara Mostella-Oliver is a fiction and mystery author from Ashville, Alabama, and a proud graduate of Ashville High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Alabama A&M University, where she also became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Her professional career began in corporate America before transitioning to federal service. Barbara retired from the U.S. Department of Defense as a civilian, where she served as a Program Manager in Information Technology with the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM).
Now residing in Georgia with her husband, Barbara has embraced her passion for writing. She is the author of the three-book fiction series “Who Would Have Thought” and will release her first nonfiction book, “How to Get Started Writing Your First Book”, in January 2026. This writing guide is designed to inspire aspiring writers of all ages, from youth to adults.
Barbara is an alumna of the Alabama A&M University Georgia Chapter, a member of the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi), the Fulton County Palmetto Library Literary Guild, and serves on the District 4 Board of the City of South Fulton Parks & Recreation.
Her personal motto is:
