Barbara Mostella, Author

Barbara is an author who writes mystery, murder, and suspense books in the fiction genre.  She has published a three-book series titled  "Who Would Have Thought."

The series is organized as follows.  Book One, "Who Would Have Thought," Book Two, "Consequences of Crime, Greed, & Love," and Book Three, "Why Now". You can find all three in paperback and eBook formats on Amazon, Barnes and Noble (B&N), and Draft2Digital.  Barbara's titles are also available through over 40,000+ booksellers doing business with Ingram Spark. Book 1 and Book Two can be found in (McCain Memorial public library in Ashville, Alabama, Spokane County Library District(SCLD) Spokane, Washington, City of Lincoln Library in Lincoln, Nebraska),  and Book One can be found in Denver, Colorado public libraries (Central, Hamden, and Ross-University locations). Book Three can be found in paperback and eBook formats on Amazon and Ingram Spark.

Notable: Book Two was a shortlisted finalist for the Best Book Editors 2021 Award Category: Best Cover.

Barbara's fourth book is coming summer of 2025. The title is 'How to get started writing your first book'.

Her affiliations include, Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi), Worldwide Women Association (WWA), Black Achievers Professional Network, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, and a board member for Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs in District 4 for The City of South Fulton.

Barbara graduated from Alabama A & M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. After 32 years of service, as a civilian, she retired from the  Department of Defense as a Program Manager at  US  Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) at Ft McPherson, GA., where the renowned Tyler Perry Studios now  occupies.

On March 26, 2024, The City of South Fulton proclaimed this day appreciation day for Barbara, recognizing her many contributions and achievements as a woman trailblazer.
 
​Barbara is an avid reader, and when not writing, she enjoys reading, pickleball, and watching mystery movies.
